About & FAQs 2017-12-23T08:26:32+00:00

Hi, I’m Scott – a jolly Wedding Photographer based on the Somerset/Dorset border.

Photography has been an interest of mine from a young age, back then it was disposable film photographs of fishing expeditions, BMXing and skateboarding. Through time all of my interests changed but the interest and practice of photography always remained.

Wedding photography is a passion of mine, it is difficult to find another day in anyone’s life where all of the best emotions are present and so naturally free-flowing. Delivering such a precious set of images makes wedding photography one of the most rewarding jobs a Photographer can undertake.

My approach is simple – capture every detail and special moment throughout the day whilst remaining as un-obtrusive as possible, after all the best photographs are the always the natural ones.

I hope you enjoy looking through the images I have been lucky enough to push the camera shutter release on and look forward to hearing from you should you require a Photographer for your beautiful day.

What is your photography style?
SRSW Photography’s style of wedding photography is prodominantly documentary/reportage, this is to capture the story of the day as it unfold via images. The idea being the images are natural and the wedding party are not aware of the camera which results in true images of the various points of the day.

So, does that mean no direction from the Photographer?
There are some points of the day that the Photographer will need to co-ordinate such as the group photographs, here a friendly approach is taken to ensure they are taken in a timely manor at the appriopriate time as to let the celebrations continue.

We’re not photogenic and we’re camera shy!
Everyone looks great on their wedding day! You’ll be pleased to know the part where the Bride and Groom go off for some private photographs is always totally relaxed, fun and un-scripted – nor will it keep you away from your guests for very long at all.

How many Images will we get?
A typical day will produce a set of 450-650 edited images of the day. This same set will be delivered in both colour and black & white.

How will we recieve our images and how can we share them?
You will recieve an online password protected gallery, the credentials of which can be shared with who ever you choose. From the online gallery images can be downloaded (all or selected images) or prints ordered. A USB memory stick will be provided with all of the images on, this acts as a ‘hard copy’.

What are your prices and is there a deposit?
There are packages or a bespoke quote option, please visit the price or contact page. There is a deposit of £100 to secure your booking and the remaining amount is due two weeks before the wedding date unless arranged otherwise.

What kind of equipment do you use?
I use a Nikon system with a multitude of lenses, lighting and accessories for any condition likely to be encountered on a wedding day – it is even weatherproof!

Do you travel and offer destination wedding photography?
Yes, travelling and destination requirements are always considered and – please contact for more details.

Are you able to create a wedding album for us?
Yes, this is however an extra. The albums on offer are usually shown in the pre-wedding consultation, there are a few options. The process is easy, you choose the album type and select the images (a list of file numbers), they are compiled into the album, an electronic PDF version is submitted back to you for review, any adjustments/swaps made (if required with a subsequent PDF sent) and the book goes to print! This can be purchased at any time, including after the wedding itself.

How does SRSW Photography stand out?
Because we believe wedding photography shouldn’t be complicated, stressful or expensive – Just good honest photography.
